This was the project I undertook for my SWS training by John Carlton.

A friend of mine had just quit her stressful six-figure exec position. She loved her work. Mostly it was the two-hour commute she hated.

That’s why she had the idea to start up her own consulting business.

It was the perfect win-win.

She got some free marketing… and I got to hone my skills in a brand new niche I knew nothing about.

I loved writing this letter because I discovered how to make a boring subject exciting, valuable, and desirable.

How to turn a hostile, toxic environment into a cooperative, productive workplace — without firing or even confronting anyone.

 

 

Hi, I’m N.S., a scrappy girl from Steeltown turned HR professional.

Having an investigator show up as a result of an anonymous complaint is no fun.  It’s disruptive, stressful and can result in devastating penalties – not to mention the damage to your company’s reputation should the matter find its way into social media.
